Our digestive tracts are so incredibly important.
They help us fight infections, absorb our nutrients, they flush out toxic substances that were first broken down by the liver and they support our immune health among many other functions. These are just some of the amazing things our GI (Gastrointestinal tract) does for us.
Look at the chart and see if your poop is like one of the pictures?
Ideally you want to ingest only foods that are high quality, full of nutrients and absent of any exogenous products such as antibiotics, herbicides, pesticides, hormones, coloring, dyes and other additives! Make sure you are CHEWING your food and not drinking large quantities of liquids with each meal. Then, when your body is done taking all the nutrients it needs, it will form excess waste to be excreted. That excess waste should like like a long, medium thickness smooth pipe, medium brown, no sign of undigested food, mucus or blood and pass really easily. When you get the signal it’s time to poop, it should take less than 30 seconds to come out once you sit on the toilet. No straining, no pain. Then when you wipe, it should only take one wipe (if that!). Yup! A clean smooth pipe.
If your poops look anything like the ones on the diagram, then you should definitely come in for a food sensitivity test and some digestive repair remedies!
