San Diego weather is great right now! Get out in the sun for 15-20 minutes without your sunscreen or sunglasses between the hours of 9am-12pm; 3pm-5pm to help your body soak up some natural sun rays and get the kidneys making that Vitamin D. Vitamin D is especially important for immune system (your defense system) health, bone strength, muscle nutrients and mood stability. It is also a great cancer fighter!!!
Make sure you drink 20 ounces of water while you are walking in the sun and take some deep healing breaths!
For those who live in colder countries…bundle up, but leave your arms and face exposed!
And a special side note: we can soak up all this wonderful vitamin D, but it a fat soluble vitamin meaning that when we immediately run home to wash our skin (where we soak up the vitamin D) with soap (which breaks down the outer layer of hte skin and fat soluble vitamins)….guess what happens? You destroy the vitamin D stimulating process on your skin before it can continue working its way to Liver and Kidney to really really make the Vitamin D that your body needs for optimal health.
Solution: Shower before you get your sun fix! Just wash your private areas and under the arm pits.
