“When you are complete, listening happens.
When you listen, you gain completeness.” SwamiJi.
I took this to heart since I struggled with our group therapy sessions. It is amazing how when you listen, truly listen to someone elses perception of reality it can offer you personal insight (if you haven’t discovered it already!) I was reminded in todays session of a theory I learned in Naturopathic Medical School about mirror neurons. As a listener, when you connect with the person speaking, truly listen and connect, you begin to feel the same sensations the speaker is feeling. Great practical example is when you see someone approach the stage that is really nervous and you get nervous for them. When you listen to someones emotions, you can move to a state of connection and apathy because most likely a similar expereince (maybe in a different coat) is or has happen in your life. The idea is, listening to others creates completions in you (and for them).
