A.R.E. (Authenticity, Responsibility, Enriching); ARE you alive?!
Today we learned about taking responsibility authentically for your life (and actions) and the life and actions of others to create an enriching life and to enrich the life of others.
It was actually a very powerful session.
Authenticity is about making sure your inner identity (how you see yourself) matches your outer identity (how others perceive you) and your other identity (how others see you). When any of these are out of alignment, you are in a state of suffering.
Responsibility. This is what I teach my patients all day long, although half of them think I’m crazy but that’s because they are NOT interested in taking responsibility for what happens to them (sorry, I know that can feel harsh, but everything that happens in and around you is connected to YOU). Taking responsibility means taking responsibility for everything that happens in your life and the life of others (others in this case is people you are connected to, not some random person down the street). What I mean by this is, if you get into a car accident- take responsibility. Even if you weren’t the one “at fault” in the crash, life is NOT happening to you, you are connected to source meaning you are the creator of your own existence and experiences. Try it on for size. Think about all you DO create for yourself and WHAT you CAN create for yourself.
Enrichment. Enriching your life and others. You are not totally enriched until you are complete with those around you and those around you are in a state of true completion. Ie: if you are not complete, your guru is not complete. And when you reach completion and the guru is complete within, everyone is complete and enriched.
So are you alive or dead in your life?
