So many patients come into the office proudly declaring that they have subsisted artificial or natural sugars in place of white sugar. Is that a step in the right direction?

But artificial sugars and “natural sugars”… aspartame, nutra-sweet, splenda, equal, sweet N’ low are cancer causing! Take the time to research articles and make healthy knowledgeable choices.
You are better off having some pure black strap molasses high in iron and B vitamins or some local honey that is high in anti-microbial properties and good for local allergies to pollen. Agave is also a great substitute.
Start checking labels on your food products and if you see *Phenylalanine, natural sugars, artificial sugars, aspartame. Be cautious. Especially those gum chewers out there…Take your diet back to basics for a healthier you! Prevent cancer and fertility issues with the choices you make today!
