OK! I made it 72 hours. Still alive!
As mentioned in the previous post, I had to take the pain medication to …. breath. I was in SO much pain. Can you imagine, someone cuts open your foot down to the bone, moves the bones around like a jigsaw puzzle till everything aligns perfectly, then to make sure it stays in place they have to put a metal plate and then screw 5 screws into the bone to make sure everything stays together. Then, they sow the peaces of skin together and put a 10 lb plaster casting on your foot to be extra sure everything stays in place.
Yup! That is what I went through.
Natural remedies can be just as strong, potent and effective as pharmaceuticals for all medical conditions. Which is why I and other Naturopathic Doctors (and medicine people of ancient tribes) have been so successful at treating ailments of all kinds. There are strong natural remedies such as kava kava, California poppy and maybe devils claw that can cut the pain and act as an all natural narcotic, but to be honest, I have not had experience with having to cut that level of pain with natural remedies and I was not getting quick enough results, that I felt my next step was pain pills.
I only had to take the pharmaceuticals for up to 48 hours, then I was 100% pain free as I began to integrate my natural healing remedies.
My dosing schedule looked like this:
8.15.12: 6pm 2 tramadol + 1 norco 10-325
8.16.12: Midnight 1 Norco; 7am 1 tramadol + 1 Norco; 11am 1 tramadol + 1 norco; 2pm 1 tramadol + 0.5 norco
* Threw up; last dose @ 5pm, 0.5 norco
8.17.12: 2:30am 0.5 norco; 6am 0.5 tramadol + 0.5 norco; noon 0.5 norco
Now I begin my natural remedies, 3 doses/day.
